This Wii U exclusive has promised to deliver the same story and gameplay from the original Batman: Arkham City but introduces new features and improved game mechanics. Thanks to the Wii U GamePad, Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition will allow players to fully immerse themselves into their Dark Knight personas. The GamePad touch screen has the wrist-mounted Batcomputer. The Batcomputer enables players to select gadgets, upgrade gear, detonate explosives, and track evidence without disrupting gameplay. Developers have also recreated gadgets in order to best utilize the GamePad. Dark Knights can access a real-time map of Gotham without having to disrupt gameplay. They can also access gadgets and equipment from their GamePad. The GamePad assists in scanning for clues and improves accuracy when using the Batarang. In addition, the GamePad Only Mode can support the Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition game independently of a television.

Some other appreciated features may include new costumes, special abilities, and maps. The new Battle Armoured Tech Mode (B.A.T. Mode) is a battle suit capable of being worn by both Batman and Catwoman. This upgraded costume builds up kinect energy during combat and, when activated, propels Batman into B.A.T. Mode. Once in B.A.T. Mode, Batman can detect more enemy locations and deal heavier, deadlier damage. There is also the new Sonar mode which lets Batman probe his surroundings in order to best implement his next attack. The exclusive Wii U Batman will also included all of the downloadable content from previous games. Harley Quinn s Revenge Pack, the Nightwing Bundle Pack, and the Robin Bundle Pack are just some of the included content.

The Batman: Arkham City game is based on the DC Comics and takes place in Arkham City, the maximum security home for feared villains. Dark Knight diehards can expect a holiday 2012 release.
